On The Job
The Guardian pries open my employer, American Apparel.
The great thing about working at AA is that it is the inverse of the current fucked-up moral climate in America. Americans spend all their time talking about sex, and all their time doing what big business demands of them. American Apparel is a provocative company that keeps its jobs in America and treats its workers well, all the while sending the message in its advertising that its clothes are, well, hot.
Leftists are confused by us because they want to applaud us for our labor practices, but think any picture of a woman looking horny in her underwear is exploitative. The right-wingers are confused by us because they want to applaud us for making money and keeping jobs in America, but any picture of a woman looking horny in her underwear is sinful.
So lets get this straight people:
Greed, bad.
Sex, good.
Can we move on from here?
